The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is toughening up the protections it will require for workers exposed to steel welding fume “with immediate effect”.

To carry out their work, HSE inspectors have a number of legal powers, or rights. These powers are given to them by the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974.

Along with the usual statutory pay rises this April, we expect to see some other employment law changes that may require action from you as an employer.
