Taking control of your farm's carbon emissions
It is estimated that the agricultural sector is responsible for producing nearly 10% of all greenhouse gas emissions (carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide) in the UK. In response to this, the NFU has set the ambitious goal of reaching net zero across the whole of agriculture in England and Wales by 2040.
For farmers and landowners to reach this goal, they will need to be aware of their contribution to the industry’s carbon footprint which identifies the quantity and source of greenhouse gas emissions associated with an activity or a product through its lifecycle. The carbon footprint of a farm is calculated by carrying out a carbon audit which can also be used to highlight aspects of the business that are emitting the highest levels of emissions. Farms with a low carbon footprint are often the most efficient and profitable and a carbon audit will also make a supplier much more appealing to carbon focused buyers or assuring bodies such as LEAF.

Documentation
Your CXCS documentation is available in digital format through our client portal, providing convenient access and efficient retrieval of any document. Alternatively, we offer the option to supply your documentation as a hard copy ring binder. This service incurs an additional fee starting from £25 per binder to cover material and transportation costs.
