Environmental Permitting Regulations
Supporting your record keeping
If you hold an environmental permit for the intensive rearing of pigs or poultry, you can expect routine inspections from Natural Resources Wales (NRW) to ensure compliance with your permit conditions. These inspections include a thorough review of your records and management plans. While the minimum inspection frequency for all permitted farms is once every three years, NRW’s risk-based approach may result in more frequent inspections based on your farm’s compliance status.
Our Environmental Permitting Regulations (EPR) service helps you maintain full compliance by supporting your record-keeping and ensuring all mandatory documentation is complete and inspection-ready. Using our extensive knowledge, we will collate your documentation and provide you with templates to record the required information. Our team will carry out a pre-audit of your documentation, providing expert support ahead of your inspection to ensure you’re fully prepared on the day. For extra reassurance, our team can attend the inspection with you if needed.*
All clients are supported by our experienced team of experts who are always on hand to provide free support and advice. To find out more about our EPR service, please contact us on 01981 590514.
*Please note that there will be an additional charge for us to attend an inspection. This service is also dependent on the availability of staff members.
