There will be no Basic Payment Scheme (BPS) application window in England in 2024 as the Rural Payments Agency (RPA) is replacing BPS with delinked
2023 will be the last manually entered Basic Payment Scheme (BPS) application and unique payment year for claims in England.
Although time pressured, this year’s application window was very smooth-running and enjoyable with good co-operation and appreciation from our clients.
As an advance injection of cash, farmers with eligible BPS applications will receive their first payment of 50% from the end of July, and the second from December.
To better reflect the contributions made by those with HLS agreements and to support the continued protection and management of these sites, Defra are increasing HLS payment rates.
Following the temporary closure of the Capital Grants scheme in November 2024, Defra has announced that sufficient funding has been secured for 2025/26.
