Defra intend to improve and evolve the regulatory baseline for agriculture as part of their agricultural transition outside of the EU

The Future Farming Resilience Fund is designed to provide business support to farmers and land managers during the early years of the agricultural transition.

DEFRA plan to phase out direct payments in England over a seven-year agricultural transition period, running from 2021 to 2027. This approach has been designed to help claimants manage the phase out of direct payments as smoothly as possible, giving time for them to plan ahead.
