There is still time to apply for Severn Trent’s Environmental Protection Scheme (STEPS) funding which closes for applications on 31st January 2022.
Farmers and landowners in the Midlands could receive up to £10,000 of match funding to help protect water and improve productivity as part of the scheme. Protecting watercourses from nitrates is a key focus of STEPS and to help prevent this, funding is available to plant cover crops, install GPS, cover muck stores and much more.
Once you apply, you should receive confirmation that your application has been successful within 6 weeks of submission. You will then have a year to complete the work from the date you are issued with your agreement.
