Rural Schemes in Wales

The Welsh Government’s Programme for Government sets out commitments to continue supporting farmers to produce food sustainably, while also taking action to address the climate emergency and reverse the decline in biodiversity. This work is being delivered through the Sustainable Land Management (SLM) framework, which guides agricultural support and regulation in Wales.

A number of rural schemes are now open, or will be opening soon, to support the rural economy and help farmers transition to the Sustainable Farming Scheme.
