What do you do at CXCS?
As a Health & Safety Advisor I spend three days a week out on farm visiting our clients and advising them on safe working practice. Following the visit I produce risk assessments, action plans, procedures etc based on the work that the client carries out. I also attend shows and markets for CXCS, which I thoroughly enjoy.
What do you like about working at CXCS?
I enjoy visiting clients and seeing how different people farm. I value seeing the difference my work makes and knowing that little by little we are making agriculture a safer environment to work in. There are many opportunities at CXCS, and I have been very lucky to work in many areas of the business.
What’s your background?
I was brought up on a beef and sheep farm in Mid Wales and completed my GCSE’s and A levels at a local school. I went on to work in an accounts department where I gained a level 4 in Business & Accounting. Following a move with my family to a dairy, beef, and sheep farm in Herefordshire, I decided this wasn’t the career for me and went on to seek a job in agriculture.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
When I’m not at work I enjoy socialising with my friends and family. I also enjoy working on the farm, especially during silaging season.
