What do you do at CXCS?
My job at CXCS is a varied one and I am out and about for three days a week, visiting clients in the north of England to update their records. Two of my other roles at CXCS are PA to our MD Karen Powell and Team Leader – this is something I love, as I help the staff I manage to grow and find their niche in the business.
Finally, I am also the Events Manager for the company, so am responsible for organising and attending the shows and events we exhibit at. I really enjoy discussing all the services we offer and meeting some of our existing clients along the way.
What do you like about working at CXCS?
I like the close group at CXCS and the people and the countryside I get to see along my travels. No two farmers are the same which gives a nice variety to my job. We are also given flexibility, which allows you to balance home and work life as much as possible. Over the last 9 years at CXCS I have seen the company develop and grow which is extremely rewarding and gives me a great deal of job satisfaction.
What’s your background?
I joined CXCS when I was 18, straight out of college. Having a family based around agriculture I had some interest and understanding.
What are the values that drive you?
I do what I do for me as a person. So, passion, loyalty, and trust are my three main values.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
When not working, I enjoy spending time with my little girl, watching her grow up; with my partner and dog, as well as our extended family. I enjoy getting away on a nice relaxing holiday and switching off. Also, you can’t go wrong with a nice glass of rosé in hand!
