Love Lamb Week was founded in 2015 by Rachel Lumley who sadly passed away this year. The farming community online has shown their dedication by continuing to promote #LoveLambWeek in memory of Rachel.
The promotional week, which is 1st-7th September every year, sees many companies and individuals promoting lamb as a sustainable and healthy food.
A £1.44m national advertising campaign called ‘Make it Lamb’ has launched this year to promote lamb’s delicious flavour, environmental credentials and demonstrating how lamb can be enjoyed as part of a balanced diet.
