Farming is a profession known for isolation and loneliness at the best of times, but with Covid-19 restricting gatherings of large numbers of people, farmers have become more isolated than ever.
Even trips to the local livestock market have lost the social element which was a welcome break from the farm for many.
We would like to remind our clients of where they can get help if they are struggling with their mental health.
GPs act as a first point of contact and can provide initial support as well as providing signposting advice on community mental health services. There are also a range of great charities who can provide advice and support to you and your family if you are struggling with your mental health.

In addition to this, if you are of the younger generation, and are missing your social life, it is worth checking out The National Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs’ (NFYFC) Take Time toolkit, which is designed to support young people in rural communities.
