BPS 2024 payments
This year, an advance payment, worth up to 70% of the estimated BPS 2024 claim value, will be made from 14th October 2024 to claimants. This is subject to claim eligibility and the receipt of all necessary supporting documents. Balance payments will start being made from 12th December 2024.
The Welsh Government is encouraging claimants to access their RPW Online account to check for any correspondence, as failure to respond to messages could delay the validation process.
Transfer of BPS Entitlements 2025
The 2025 transfer window of BPS entitlements opened on 2nd September 2024. Transfer of Entitlements forms are available via your RPW Online account. Entitlement values displayed on your RPW Online account may be subject to annual changes to take account of the value of unclaimed entitlements and unallocated National Reserve budget in 2025. Any increase applied to the entitlement value in 2025 will only apply in 2025. Customers must submit the Transfer of Entitlements form before midnight on 15th May 2025 for the entitlements to be available to claim on BPS 2025.

Delinked Payments
The Rural Payments Agency plan to make delinked payments to eligible customers in 2 instalments each year. This is an advance payment of around 50% from the 1st of August with a balance payment from the 1st of December.
However, for 2024 delinked payments, the second instalment will now be made from the 30th of September, rather than from December, to help farmers with their cashflow following the impact of wet weather.
