Applications are now open for the Water Management grant. Part of the Farming Investment Fund, the Water Management grant is open to horticultural and arable businesses growing, or intending to grow, irrigated food crops, ornamentals, or forestry nurseries.
As with the first round which opened in November 2021, there is a 2-step application process for this round, starting with an online eligibility checker which is open until 12th July.
Online checker
The checker is designed to determine eligibility and whether your project fits the funding priorities which is one of the changes that has been made in response to feedback. It takes approximately 20 minutes to complete, and the outcome is given instantly.
The online eligibility checker can be viewed here.
Full application
Those invited to make a full application will have until 31st October 2024 to do so. Before you submit your full application, you will need to secure any planning permission and abstraction licences. This is a change from the first round which was made to improve both the customer journey and support quicker decision making.
