We have again reached the end of the busy BPS period. The BPS team begun preparation works at the beginning of March and processed claims right through to deadline day on May 16th.
Although time pressured, this year’s application window was very smooth-running and enjoyable with good co-operation and appreciation from our clients.
Here’s our review of how the BPS claims submission period went for our BPS team this year:
- Each year our BPS Service figure grows, reaching 262 total submitted claims for the current scheme year.
- Total RLE1 forms submitted due to land mapping changes totalled 141.
- RPA ‘add land request’ service via email proved a very positive experience this year with the RPA actioning requests in a matter of hours. This was applicable for land already registered with the RPA; we were very impressed with the efficiency here.
- Continuation Booklets for land not registered with the RPA remained in a paper format having to be submitted via post.
- The RPA issue with figures not pulling across to the C8 column remained an ongoing issue throughout the claim window, each claim was checked multiple times. before and after submission to ensure all parcels were correctly claimed.
- Strong entitlement trade, fluctuation in unit cost with prices surging nearing submission deadline for certain lots due to high demand.
- RPA announcement of part payment to be made from end of July 2022 with the balance paid from December to assist with rising costs.
The BPS team would like to thank all clients who have used this service and have worked alongside us for a smooth submission.
We look forward to working with you again next year!
