2019 Basic Payment Scheme Applications

This year the Basic Payment Team at CXCS, which consists of Jayde, Ellen, Nat and Caitie, have submitted close to 250 BPS claims over the 8-week period, Mid-March to Mid-May.

Below is key information relating to 2019 BPS Applications.

ALTERATIONS

Minor alterations can be made up until midnight 31st May, without penalty, as long as the claim was originally submitted before midnight on 15th May.

See the 2019 BPS Guidance page 5 for their rules on altering your application.

PAYMENT WINDOW

The RPA payment window for 2019 BPS payments will be from early December and runs usually until the end of June.

If there is an issue with your claim, the RPA will be in contact with you to clarify matters.

MAPPING REQUESTS

We have noticed a lot of our 2019 RLE1 forms have already been actioned online and the requested changes are being shown ‘live’ on the mapping section.

If you notice an ‘!’ next to parcel numbers on the ‘Land’ section online, the RPA are processing the requested mapping changes.

CATCH/ COVER CROPS

Remember if you declared catch or cover crops on your 2019 BPS form for EFA, these crops need to be in the ground this Autumn/Winter.

When declaring catch or cover crops on the 2019 form, you are planning where you will be planting the crops and not where they have been the previous Autumn/Winter.

If you have any specific BPS questions, feel free to ring the office and ask for one of the BPS Team.
