Capital Grants
Capital items to achieve specific environmental benefits
Capital Grants are 3-year agreements offering capital items to achieve specific environmental benefits within 4 groups: boundaries, trees and orchards, improved water quality and improved air quality.
Standalone Capital Grants
Standalone Capital Grants are available with a rolling application window, which means that applications can be made at any time of year.
A capital agreement can be applied for by existing Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) and Countryside Stewardship (CS) agreement holders as long as the same action isn’t being funded twice, there is sufficient space in the parcel, and the options and items are compatible with each other.
Applying for a Capital Grant agreement
If you are interested in applying for a Capital Grant agreement, our Stewardship & Grants team are available to go through the scheme options with you and identify which actions could work for your farm. If you then decide that you want to apply for an agreement, we can also complete and submit the application on your behalf.
