Applications in England are now open for grants towards productivity and slurry management items through the Farming Equipment and Technology Fund (FETF) 2024. The FETF provides grants for farming equipment and technology that supports improvements in productivity, slurry management and animal health and welfare. Defra expect to open 2 more productivity, slurry and animal welfare grant application windows later this year.
The fund is competitive and you can apply for one grant from each of the 3 themes. Successful applicants will receive a grant of:
- a minimum of £1,000 and a maximum of £50,000 towards productivity items
- a minimum of £1,000 and a maximum of £50,000 towards slurry items
- a minimum of £1,000 and a maximum of £25,000 towards animal health and welfare items
The deadline to apply for a productivity and slurry management grant is midday on the 17th of April 2024. The application window for grants towards animal health and welfare items will be available later this month.
