Countryside Stewardship Applications Open

Countryside Stewardship applications are open for agreements starting on 1 January 2023. Not only have the RPA made changes to the scheme to provide a better experience to new entrants, but since January this year the government has increased scheme rates by an average of 30%.

The scheme will continue to be open to new applicants until 2023 (for agreements starting in 2024), while Defra continues to develop the new environmental land management schemes.
