AGRICULTURAL COMPLIANCE
BESPOKE DOCUMENTATION & EXPERT ADVICE
Need help with your agricultural compliance paperwork?
From the 1st of January 2024 regulations continue to protect the environment and animal health and welfare. Compliance is monitored by the existing statutory bodies and farms and land will be inspected to ensure that rules are being followed. Our dedicated team provides expert advice and bespoke agricultural compliance paperwork to ensure that you abide by the complex requirements.
WE CAN HELP YOU WITH
Rented ground needs to be accounted for during an inspection and we complete all the records for rented land just as we would for any other land. If the landowner of the ground you rent and farm gets notified of an inspection, you will be required to provide your records to the owner of the ground in question.
Soil erosion and manure risk maps are an integral part of cross compliance as they demonstrate an understanding of the risks associated with your fields and illustrate how these risks are being manged. Our dedicated mapping department will ensure you pass inspections without a hitch by providing accurate information which takes into account the features within and around your fields.
Field Application Records are required by the Rural Payments Agency and the Environment Agency when they conduct their inspections. Unlike most online applications, our dedicated software produces clear and detailed reports. Our system follows all the rules within RB209, Countryside Stewardship options and closed period dates, so future plans will not breach any regulations.
All silage, slurry and fuel oil must comply with the SSAFO regulations. Stacks of manure or silage, if not covered, will produce polluted material/ effluent which must be kept out of ditches and drains. Storage facilities and pollution risks will be closely examined by our experienced staff, with feedback and advice given if further help is required.
Nitrate Vulnerable Zones (NVZs) are areas designated as being at risk from agricultural nitrate pollution and include approximately 55% of land in England. As compliance can be difficult to calculate, we can complete your NVZ records, make sure you comply with all the rules and guarantee that the records will pass inspection.
Although inspections can take various forms, there is always one common theme – that there will be an examination of your records and you are expected to have these available. For additional peace of mind, we can attend all RPA (full cross compliance) and EA inspections on behalf of our clients which includes working through the documentation with the inspector.
