Know Your Legal Obligations as an Employer

Have you provided your employees with a contract of employment? Section 1 of the Employment Rights Act 1996 sets out the minimum information that an employer must give an employee in relation to their working terms and conditions. From April 2020 it became a legal requirement to provide a contract of employment on or before the date on which employment commenced.

Working at height

Operatives working at 200 metres on a high-rise building are going to take all the necessary precautions to prevent them falling, because they know a fall from that height will be fatal, however falling from 5 metres or below can still be fatal.
